Summary: The Senior Network Engineer role requires a highly skilled professional with over 13 years of experience in designing, implementing, securing, and supporting enterprise network infrastructure. The candidate should have expertise in various networking technologies, including routing, switching, firewalls, and SD-WAN. This position involves working closely with cloud, security, and infrastructure teams to ensure optimal network performance and security. The role is hybrid/onsite based in Carolina Beach, North Carolina.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain enterprise LAN, WAN, WLAN, and data center networks.
  • Configure and troubleshoot Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, Fortinet, or Aruba network devices.
  • Implement routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, and MPLS.
  • Manage SD-WAN, VPN, and site-to-site connectivity.
  • Configure enterprise firewalls, IDS/IPS, and network security policies.
  • Maintain load balancers such as F5 BIG-IP or Citrix ADC.
  • Perform network performance tuning, capacity planning, and optimization.
  • Monitor network infrastructure using SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios, or Cisco DNA Center.
  • Troubleshoot complex network issues and provide root cause analysis.
  • Implement high availability and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Work closely with cloud, security, and infrastructure teams.
  • Maintain documentation, network diagrams, and standard operating procedures.

Key Skills:

  • 13+ years of enterprise networking experience.
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, NAT, QoS, and VPN.
  • Experience with Cisco Catalyst, Nexus, ISR, ASR, Juniper, Aruba, or Fortinet devices.
  • Expertise in BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS, STP, and HSRP/VRRP.
  • Experience with Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, Check Point, or Fortinet firewalls.
  • SD-WAN implementation and administration.
  • Experience with Cisco ISE and Network Access Control (NAC).
