Summary: The Senior Network Engineer role involves supporting a major Technology Consultancy in the UK on a contract basis. The position requires the engineer to be onsite in Aberdeen 2-3 days a week and entails extensive experience in network engineering and security. Candidates must be CCNP certified and possess a strong background in various networking technologies and protocols. The role is outside IR35 and requires eligibility for Security Clearance (SC).

Key Responsibilities:

• Support customer projects as a Senior Network Engineer.
• Work onsite in Aberdeen 2-3 days a week.
• Utilize expertise in Routing, Switching, Security, and Data Center technologies.
• Implement and troubleshoot enterprise network solutions.
• Engage in field-based or consulting roles as required.

Key Skills:

• Extensive experience in field-based or consulting roles.
• CCNP certification with expertise in Routing, Switching, Security, and Data Center (Nexus).
• Strong knowledge of network security principles and enterprise network troubleshooting.
• Proficient in WAN technologies and routing protocols (EIGRP, OSPF, BGP).
• Hands-on experience with Cisco ISR/ASR Routers, Hyperflex, UCSx, ASA Firewalls, and Switching (3850/3650/2960X/4500X).
• Expertise in Cisco Nexus (5K/7K/9K), VTP, STP, VSS, vPC, and VDC.
• Skilled in IPSec VPNs, Cisco FirePOWER IPS/Threat Defence, SD-WAN, DNAC, Prime, and Wireless (C9800 series).
• Experience with Palo Alto Firewalls and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS).
