Senior Network Engineer - DV On-site

Summary: The Senior Network Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Milton Keynes, requiring individuals with current DV clearance or eligibility for the process. The engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, securing, and maintaining enterprise network infrastructure, focusing on high availability and performance. This position involves advanced technical leadership in network security operations and serves as an escalation point for complex issues. The role is contracted for six months and classified as inside IR35.

• Design, implement, secure, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure.
• Provide advanced technical leadership across routing, switching, and network security operations.
• Serve as an escalation point for complex issues involving Cisco and Palo Alto platforms.

Key Skills:

• Experience in support and design in highly secure airgapped environments.
• Cisco Switching and Routing technologies.
• Network Security technologies - IPsec, SSL, VPNs, PKI.
• Cisco Firepower/ASA Firewall installation and administration.
• Palo Alto Firewalls/Panorama installation and administration.
• Knowledge of NSX-T platform.
• Knowledge of Virtual Environments and virtual network solutions (e.g., VMWare).
• Network monitoring and configuration tools - SolarWinds NCM, PRTG, KIWI.
• Encryption Devices - Catapans, Bulldogs.

This role is responsible for designing, implementing, securing, and maintaining enterprise network infrastructure with a focus on high availability, performance, and resilience. This role provides advanced technical leadership across routing, switching, Firewall administration, and network security operations. The engineer serves as an escalation point for complex issues involving Cisco switching platforms, Cisco Firepower Threat Defense (FTD), and Palo Alto Networks Next-Generation Firewalls, Catepan encryption devices.

Experience required:

• Experience in support and design in highly secure airgapped environments.
• Cisco Switching, Routing technologies
• Network Security technologies - IPsec, SSL, VPNs, PKI
