Summary: The Senior Network Engineer role focuses on architecting, deploying, and operating high-throughput, low-latency network fabrics for AI infrastructure. This hands-on position requires expertise in designing advanced networking solutions and automating processes to support cutting-edge AI workloads. The engineer will work with various technologies, including Mellanox and Juniper, to ensure optimal performance and reliability. The role is contract-based for six months and classified as outside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design L3 leaf-spine networks using Mellanox (Cumulus Linux).
- Integrate Juniper PTX core routers & SRX firewalls.
- Automate networking processes with Ansible and Python.
- Monitor network performance using SNMP, sFlow, and gRPC.
- Handle 24/7 incident response for network issues.
- Support modern workloads including AI, HPC, hybrid cloud, and data center interconnects.
Key Skills:
- 3–5+ years in high-performance or AI-focused networking.
- Deep experience with BGP, EVPN, VXLAN, MPLS.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of Mellanox, Juniper, Cumulus OS, and automation tools.
- Bonus: JNCIE/CCIE certification or experience in cloud networking and security.
