Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing and developing automation using Ansible and Python in production environments
  • Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to support reliable and repeatable deployments
  • Working across network platforms including Cisco, Fortinet, and F5
  • Acting as a technical lead within the team and shaping delivery
  • Supporting training and knowledge transfer to ensure long-term capability is built

Key Skills:

  • Strong background in network automation, ideally from a network engineering foundation
  • 5+ years’ experience with Ansible in production environments
  • 5+ years’ experience using Python for automation and integration
  • Experience managing and building CI/CD pipelines
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco, Fortinet, and F5 technologies
  • Comfortable working directly with stakeholders and playing a visible role in the project

Salary (Rate): £700 daily

We are looking for a Senior Automation Engineer to play a key role in a large-scale network automation programme. This is a hands on technical leadership role where you'll shape the direction of the project and deliver high quality automation solutions. This is not just a delivery role. You will be a core part of the project, influencing how automation is built and deployed, while working closely with engineers and stakeholders across the programme.

  • Designing and developing automation using Ansible and Python in production environments

  • Working across network platforms including Cisco, Fortinet, and F5
