Summary: We are looking for a Senior .NET Engineer to join a leading software development company on a 6-month contract basis. The role involves designing, developing, and implementing software solutions within an agile team, focusing on high-quality code and collaboration with cross-functional teams. The position is hybrid, requiring two days a week onsite in London, and is classified as outside IR35. Candidates should have extensive experience in .NET development and related technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software using C# and .NET (Core)
- Contribute to the architecture and development of scalable web applications and APIs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Front End developers, QA engineers, and DevOps
- Participate in code reviews, mentoring junior developers, and driving best practices
- Ensure software solutions meet both technical and business requirements
- Deliver clean, maintainable, testable, and reusable code
Key Skills:
- Proven experience as a Senior .NET Developer or Engineer
- Expertise in .NET Core and C# development
- Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture
- Experience with SQL Server and Entity Framework
- Good understanding of Agile methodologies (eg Scrum, Kanban)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure is highly desirable
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems such as Git
- Ability to write clear technical documentation
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
