Summary: The Senior .NET Developer role is focused on contributing to projects in Capital Markets and Risk Management for a financial services client in London. The position requires designing, developing, and maintaining applications using C# and .NET technologies, with a strong emphasis on collaboration throughout the software development life cycle. Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain robust applications using C#, .NET Core or .NET Framework.
- Collaborate with business and IT teams on the full software development life cycle, from requirements gathering to deployment.
- Implement scalable solutions using MVC architecture, RESTful APIs, and proven object-oriented programming (OOP) techniques.
- Write and optimize complex SQL queries for SQL Server databases.
- Apply best practices in software design including the use of appropriate design patterns.
- Develop and support Windows desktop applications using WinForms and WPF, with experience in handling large on-premise databases.
- Contribute to code reviews, documentation, and ensuring high standards in verbal and written communication.
- Participate in continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes using Git and modern DevOps practices.
- Work on Legacy and modern systems, including those involving WinForms.
- Preferably apply hands-on experience within Capital Markets, specifically Market Risk, Credit Risk, Counterparty Risk, and Trade Lifecycle functions.
Key Skills:
- Strong expertise in C#, .NET Core/.NET Framework, and SQL Server.
- Solid experience developing Windows desktop applications using WinForms and WPF, and managing large on-premise databases.
- Solid knowledge of MVC, RESTful API development, OOP, and design patterns.
- Exposure to Azure or AWS cloud platforms.
- Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, and modern deployment methodologies.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
