Summary: The role of Senior .NET and React Developer involves working with a leading public sector client in Edinburgh, focusing on both modern cloud-based and legacy applications. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions and provide ongoing support for existing applications. This position requires in-office presence from time to time and emphasizes software quality, documentation, and governance. The role is classified as inside IR35 for a duration of 12 months.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with other members of the team to support a number of applications across the organisation.
  • These applications cover both modern cloud based applications and some more Legacy on-prem applications.
  • Consult and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including, product owners, business analysts, UI/UX and test teams, to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Contribute to software development projects, providing architectural input when required.
  • Provide BAU support for main applications including minor enhancements to ensure that the applications meet current legislation.
  • Maintain development environments for the applications using Azure DevOps.
  • Maintain documentation for any updates to these systems including run manuals, wikis, and high level/low level technical design documents.
  • Ensure software quality and performance through testing and optimisation.
  • Ensure that the source code is controlled and that any updates follow the relevant governance (CAB, Architecture review etc).
  • Support the redevelopment of a number of Legacy applications.
  • Conduct and participate in code reviews ensuring adherence to defined coding standards.
  • Transition any additional applications from a third party vendor to on site support and development as required.
  • Advise on knowledge transfer strategies with third party vendors to ensure a smooth transition.

One of Loriens Leading Public Sector Clients are looking for A highly experienced .NET and React Developer to join their team.
