Summary: The Senior MuleSoft Engineer role involves leading the design and development of enterprise-grade integration solutions using Mule 4 and the Anypoint Platform. The position is critical for supporting a major migration project and enhancing API governance within a collaborative and agile environment. The successful candidate will leverage their extensive MuleSoft experience to drive performance and scalability across services. This opportunity is part of a larger digital transformation initiative within a well-established business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop enterprise-grade integration solutions using Mule 4 and the Anypoint Platform.
  • Support a major migration project from Mule 3 on-prem to Mule 4 on CloudHub.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to enhance performance, reliability, and scalability.
  • Contribute to integration design and governance, influencing architecture decisions and best practices.
  • Work within a high-performing technical team under the guidance of an experienced MuleSoft architect.

Key Skills:

  • 5+ years of hands-on MuleSoft experience (Mule 3 & Mule 4), including integration of large-scale systems.
  • Expertise in handling large data files, streaming, and batch processing.
  • Strong proficiency in Java, including object-oriented design, REST API development, and performance tuning.
  • Experience with DataWeave for complex data transformations.
  • Solid knowledge of API-led connectivity, API design (REST/SOAP), and API life cycle management.
  • Familiarity with API security standards such as OAuth and JWT.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing (MUnit), and deployment using tools like Jenkins or GitLab.
  • Experience deploying MuleSoft applications to CloudHub and managing environments, scaling, and monitoring.
  • Strong understanding of error handling, exception strategies, and Real Time logging/alerting.
