Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, manage, and coordinate all MEP activities throughout the project lifecycle from planning and design through to installation, testing, and commissioning.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor MEP work schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure timely delivery.
  • Liaise closely with clients, design teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure all project requirements and specifications are met.
  • Oversee the quality control and assurance processes for all MEP systems.
  • Ensure all MEP works comply with relevant regulations, standards, and safety protocols specific to Jersey and the Channel Islands.
  • Manage and mentor MEP engineers, supervisors, and site teams to drive performance and continuous improvement.
  • Resolve technical issues and provide innovative solutions to any challenges that arise during construction.
  • Prepare and present regular progress reports to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement effective mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental policies and sustainability initiatives related to MEP works.

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Senior MEP Manager or similar role on large-scale construction projects.
  • Extensive knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems, including HVAC, power distribution, fire protection, and building management systems.
  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies, project management principles, and MEP installation standards.
  • Relevant professional qualifications in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Experience working on projects within the UK or Channel Islands jurisdiction is highly desirable.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Valid health and safety certifications (e.g., IOSH, NEBOSH) are preferred.
