About the Role
Anglian Recruitment is currently seeking experienced Senior MEP Managers to lead and oversee the Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) operations for a high-profile construction project located in Jersey. This is an excellent opportunity for accomplished professionals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and have proven experience managing complex MEP installations on large-scale projects. As Senior MEP Manager, you will be the key point of contact for all MEP aspects on site, responsible for coordinating multidisciplinary teams, ensuring compliance with all technical and safety standards, and delivering the project on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and coordinate all MEP activities throughout the project lifecycle from planning and design through to installation, testing, and commissioning.
• Develop, implement, and monitor MEP work schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure timely delivery.
• Liaise closely with clients, design teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure all project requirements and specifications are met.
• Oversee the quality control and assurance processes for all MEP systems.
• Ensure all MEP works comply with relevant regulations, standards, and safety protocols specific to Jersey and the Channel Islands.
• Manage and mentor MEP engineers, supervisors, and site teams to drive performance and continuous improvement.
• Resolve technical issues and provide innovative solutions to any challenges that arise during construction.
• Prepare and present regular progress reports to senior management and stakeholders.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement effective mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with environmental policies and sustainability initiatives related to MEP works.

Candidate Requirements

• Proven experience as a Senior MEP Manager or similar role on large-scale construction projects.
• Extensive knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems, including HVAC, power distribution, fire protection, and building management systems.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, project management principles, and MEP installation standards.
• Relevant professional qualifications in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
• Experience working on projects within the UK or Channel Islands jurisdiction is highly desirable.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office suite.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
• Valid health and safety certifications (e.g., IOSH, NEBOSH) are preferred.
• Willingness to relocate or commute to Jersey for the duration of the project.
