Summary: The Senior Mechanical Project Manager will oversee the delivery of complex healthcare projects in Birmingham, managing full mechanical packages from pre-construction to final handover. Key Responsibilities:
- Taking full responsibility for the delivery of mechanical packages on healthcare projects.
- Managing project teams, including Mechanical Project Managers, Site Managers, and Supervisors.
- Overseeing programme, budget, and commercial performance of projects.
- Working closely with clients, consultants, and internal teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Reviewing and managing design development, technical submissions, and procurement strategies.
- Ensuring QA, compliance, and commissioning processes meet healthcare and HTM standards.
- Identifying and resolving technical and programme risks.
- Ensuring all works are delivered safely and in line with company and site procedures.
- Attending client meetings and senior management reviews.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience delivering mechanical packages on healthcare projects (hospitals, clinics, laboratories).
- Strong background working for M&E Contractors.
- Mechanical engineering or trade background.
- SMSTS.
- Strong understanding of HTM standards and healthcare regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and commercial awareness.
- Willingness to travel to projects UK wide.
