Summary: A leading multidisciplinary engineering consultancy is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to enhance their building services team. The role involves delivering high-quality mechanical design solutions across various sectors, mentoring junior engineers, and fostering client relationships. The successful candidate will manage mechanical design elements from concept to completion while contributing to innovative and sustainable engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the mechanical engineering design delivery on selected projects
  • Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary project teams
  • Manage mechanical design elements from concept through to completion
  • Produce technical drawings, specifications and design documentation
  • Carry out engineering calculations and support technical reviews
  • Attend client meetings and contribute to presentations
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers
  • Maintain and improve technical standards within the engineering team
  • Contribute to innovative, sustainable and low-carbon engineering solutions

Key Skills:

  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or equivalent qualification
  • Minimum 3-4 years' post-qualification experience within building services design
  • Strong experience delivering mechanical engineering solutions within a consultancy environment
  • Knowledge of relevant British Standards, Building Regulations and industry guidance
  • Experience using design software such as Revit, Relux / Dialux, Amtech or equivalent engineering software
  • Understanding of sustainable design principles and renewable technologies
  • Experience working with BREEAM requirements would be advantageous
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and mechanical building services design

A leading multidisciplinary engineering consultancy is seeking an Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their growing building services team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Mechanical Engineer to work on technically challenging projects across sectors including healthcare, education, residential, commercial, industrial, pharmaceutical and public sector developments.

The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality mechanical design solutions, supporting project delivery, mentoring junior engineers and developing strong client relationships within a collaborative engineering environment.

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will:

  • Lead the mechanical engineering design delivery on selected projects
  • Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary project teams
  • Manage mechanical design elements from concept through to completion
