Senior Manufacturing Accountant

Summary: The Senior Manufacturing Accountant role is a 6-month contract position focused on providing financial support to a global manufacturing business. The successful candidate will partner with operations across multiple sites, manage cost roll processes, and enhance financial visibility. This position requires a strong background in manufacturing finance and proficiency in SAP and Excel. The role is ideal for a proactive individual who excels in a detail-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as a key finance partner to operations across five manufacturing sites globally
• Lead and support cost roll processes, including SAP standard costing updates and variance analysis
• Deliver accurate inventory reporting, including provisions and balance sheet reconciliations
• Ensure robust cost control, analysing under/over absorption and driving transparency in manufacturing costs
• Support planning cycles, including quarterly forecasts, strategic plans, and board-level reporting
• Work closely with plant finance and operations teams to enhance financial visibility and decision-making

Key Skills:

• Previous experience as a cost accountant or manufacturing accountant is essential
• Strong background in SAP, particularly with standard costing and inventory modules
• Excellent Excel skills, including Power Query and macro writing
• Comfortable working across international teams in a matrixed environment
• Qualified or part-qualified (ACCA, CIMA) preferred, though strong experience will be considered
