Summary: The Audit Business Partner role in London involves delivering risk-based internal audit activities under the guidance of the Global Internal Audit Manager. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver end-to-end internal audit engagements (scoping, risk assessment, control testing, reporting).
- Assess control design and operating effectiveness, identifying gaps and agreeing mitigation actions with management.
- Prepare high-quality working papers in line with internal methodology and QA standards.
- Track and validate closure of audit actions, reporting status to senior management.
- Contribute to the six-monthly risk-based audit plan and proactively highlight emerging risks.
- Build strong stakeholder relationships while providing robust, constructive challenge.
- Support risk and control assessments in major business or technology initiatives and acquisitions.
- Ensure all activities comply with HSES, regulatory, and ethics requirements.
Key Skills:
- Professional internal audit / assurance qualification (e.g., IIA or equivalent).
- Experience in oil & gas or extractive industries.
- Strong understanding of risk management frameworks and internal controls.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
- Strong analytical, organisational, and influencing skills.
- Experience preparing process documentation and audit working papers.

About the Role
