Summary: The Senior Ecommerce Trading Manager will lead the online retail strategy for Majestic, the UK's largest specialist wine retailer, focusing on revenue growth and customer experience enhancement. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills to oversee the ecommerce operation, including website management and performance analytics. The position is a fixed-term contract starting in August 2025, based in Watford, with a hybrid working arrangement. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver a best-in-class shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maximise online sales and profit potential through data analysis and strategic decision-making.
  • Work closely with creative, content, and marketing teams to ensure seamless coordination of products and campaigns.
  • Oversee and manage the online trading calendar, ensuring promotions, merchandising, and paid media align with the overall marketing strategy.
  • Lead the briefing process for all website updates and changes, ensuring timely and accurate execution by the creative team.
  • Ensure all site changes are implemented correctly on the first attempt, maintaining a high standard of quality and accuracy.
  • Oversee the online helpdesk, ensuring all queries are addressed within SLA (24 hours).
  • Ensure all website content is accurate, aligned with the trading plan, and optimised for both user engagement and SEO.
  • Ensure site merchandising supports both business objectives and online sales performance.
  • Continuously monitor and enhance site architecture to maintain high SEO standards, implementing regular updates and improvements.
  • Develop and oversee an A/B testing schedule to optimise website performance and user experience.
  • Create and manage a blog calendar that aligns with SEO strategies and customer engagement goals.
  • Collaborate with IT and development teams to implement site enhancements, resolve technical issues, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Participate in key business projects to support strategic growth initiatives.
