THE ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE SENIOR MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT:
Preparing and own the annual budgeting process, from first draft through to final sign-off.
Building detailed, bottom-up budgets based on real operational activity, including headcount, volumes, service levels and contract changes.
Modelling income, direct costs, overheads and margin, taking account of phasing, seasonality and contractual changes.
Challenging assumptions where they appear optimistic, inconsistent or unsupported, ensuring budgets are realistic and deliverable.
Supporting accurate cash and margin forecasting, ensuring budgets and phasing profiles feed into wider financial forecasts.
Helping improve budgeting processes, templates, models and assumption libraries to drive consistency and efficiency.
THE PERSON REQUIREMENTS FOR THE SENIOR MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT:
Ideally be ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification with strong post-qualified experience
Proven experience owning budgets and forecasts, ideally across a multi-contract, multi-site or service-delivery environment, in Real Estate
Excellent financial modelling and Excel skills
Strong commercial and analytical thinking
Confidence partnering with non-finance stakeholders and constructively challenging assumptions
