Summary: The role of Senior Management Accountant involves overseeing the monthly management accounts for multiple entities within a fast-paced environment. Reporting to the European Financial Controller, this role is pivotal in driving financial insights across the group.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation and ownership of monthly group management accounts across a complex, multi-entity structure
- Production and presentation of financial reports, analysis and KPIs to senior management
- Detailed inventory accounting, including valuation, movements, provisions and reconciliations
- Budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis with meaningful commercial insight
- Balance sheet reconciliations and month-end close processes
- Continuous improvement of reporting processes and financial controls
- Close collaboration with operational teams to understand and explain financial performance
Key Skills:
- Qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
- Proven hands-on management accounts experience within a complex or multi-entity environment
- Strong inventory accounting experience (essential)
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis; Power BI experience advantageous)
- Confident communicator with experience presenting financial information to senior management
- Highly organised, detail-oriented and able to meet tight deadlines
