Senior Management Accountant – Fixed Term Contract

Join our Finance Team in Palethorpes, Market Drayton – Fixed Term Contract! We are thrilled to offer an exceptional opportunity for an experienced and focused Senior Management Accountant to join our team in Palethorpes on a 6 month fix term contract. Reporting in to the Finance Manager, you will analyse site financial performance whilst supporting the team in continuously developing and improving relevant projects / measures to meet the needs of the business.

Working Hours This is a Hybrid working opportunity and the working hours are Monday to Thursday 8.30am – 5pm, and Friday 8.30am – 4pm.

Your Duties Will Include

• Assisting the site finance team in the reporting of site performance.
• Assist with management of site finance team and deputise for the Finance Manager as and when necessary.
• ERP system interrogation
• Management of all master data, including BOMs, standard costings and pricings.
• Interrogation of site financial performance to assist decision making.
• Daily and weekly KPI reporting.
• Daily and weekly site variance reporting
• Daily and weekly stock reporting and investigation/reporting of variances.
• Assisting in the generation of monthly site management accounting, and providing commentary on variances to weeklies, budget and prior year.
• Posting and calculation of all accruals and prepayments.
• Completion of monthly balance sheet reconciliation for review and approval by the Finance Manager.
• Tracking capital project spend and benefits, ensuring this aligns to the approved capital proposal.
• Assisting in the financial data gathering for the post investment appraisals for all capital projects.

Your Skills And Experience

• Qualified (CIMA, ACCA, ICAEW etc)
• Self-starter, able to problem solve accounting on their own and deliver to agreed deadlines
• Highly numerical/analytical and strong problem-solving skills
• Advanced excel skills
• Great communicator and comfortable with liaising with stakeholders at all levels
• ERP knowledge
• FMCG experience
• A continuous improvement mindset with drive to continually improve processes
• Determined & resilient
• Concern for results & quality of output
• Thoroughness & accuracy
• Confidence, initiative & flexibility
• High in integrity with ability to gain the trust of colleagues
