Senior Maintenance Contract Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Contract & Operational Management
  • Reporting directly to the Senior Leadership Team.
  • Lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of maintenance contracts across multiple sites.
  • Maintain & improve current systems.
  • Ensure all contract obligations, SLAs, KPIs, and compliance requirements are met or exceeded.
  • Oversee maintenance teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure safe and efficient service delivery.
  • Commercial & Financial
  • Produce accurate estimates, quotations, and pricing models for maintenance works and minor projects.
  • Identify and pursue variations, renewals, and upsell opportunities within existing contracts.
  • Prepare monthly sales / progress reports.
  • Support tender preparation and bid submissions for new maintenance contracts.
  • Client Leadership & Communication
  • Act as the primary senior point of contact for key clients, ensuring clear communication and excellent service.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships.
  • Conduct regular client review meetings.
  • Resolve escalations, technical queries, and service issues promptly and professionally.
  • Business Development
  • Support the generation of new business leads through networking, site visits, and industry engagement.
  • Work with the leadership team to identify growth opportunities within the maintenance division.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Significant experience in a senior maintenance, facilities management, construction, or technical services management role.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong understanding of building fabric and maintenance methodologies.
  • Experience in a construction trade (joinery, plastering, ceiling fixer, etc)
  • Proven experience in pricing, estimating, and commercial contract management.
  • Excellent client relationship skills with the ability to influence and communicate at senior levels.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to client sites.
