Full time fixed term role for a senior competition lawyer at a reputable aviation company
Role: Full time role required working on competition law matters affecting this household name aviation company. You will have some familiarity with CAA (preferably) and/or any other regulatory experience. You will have an interesting and varied range of work in the aviation sector, dealing with matters as they arise; the activities of this business are impacted by governmental decisions from month to month. The role is within a division of the company's sizeable, collegiate legal team of other senior lawyers with top tier backgrounds. You will be a confident self-starter, take responsibility for a significant workload and report to the Head of Legal. This is a 12 month fixed term contract, but does have the potential to turn into a permanent position at the end of that period. Hybrid working arrangement of 3 days in the office (Greater London), 2 WFH. Potential flexibility available on that arrangement.
Requirements: UK qualified solicitor with strong academics; 5-7 pqe (although more senior candidates will be considered); strong work ethic and professional approach to the demands of the role; candidates must have trained and accumulated relevant experience in the competition and regulatory space at a top tier firm (merger control/abuse of dominant position expertise is not relevant for this position); and candidate must be familiar with working closely with a regulator, preferably the CAA.
