The company specialises in sustainable green energy infrastructure, driven by a forward-looking approach to the industry’s challenges and is going through exceptional growth.

Your new role

Reporting to the General Counsel and based in the City, this role is a newly created position within the generalist commercial capacity. They are going through acquisitions at the moment and are backed by a very well-regarded Private Equity house; however, you don’t necessarily need direct corporate experience. You will contribute to the work of the in-house legal team, with a focus on non-contentious construction. You will also work on a range of projects, including a GDPR project the team is currently handling.

  • Draft, review and negotiate engineering and construction contracts
  • Coordinate with external legal counsel
  • Dealing with collateral warranties
  • Assist on projects within the team, working towards deadlines
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders
  • Working with the General Counsel to execute legal policies and strategies.

This is an opportunity for a driven and capable lawyer to play a key part at a very busy time for the team. The role is progressive and a part of a small team, within the generalist capacity.

What you'll need to succeed

Ideally, you will be at least 4+ PQE (guideline only) and have experience in non-contentious construction. The ideal candidate will be articulate and capable of contributing to the team/ having an impact and thinking innovatively. Experience in GDPR would also be a plus, but is not essential. This position is ideal for an exceptional and high-performing legal professional looking for their next senior role in construction law.

What you'll get in return

Alongside a prorated salary of £90k-£100k, you will enjoy a hybrid working policy of 2–3 days in the office per week, working as part of the legal team within a major and innovative infrastructure company.
