Senior Lecturer in Computer Science

We are seeking to appoint an outstanding Senior Lecturer in Computer Science to join our ambitious and collegial academic team and help shape the future of our computing provision. We are particularly interested in candidates with expertise in system penetration testing, secure software development, information security, and cryptography . Professional skills or certifications in ethical hacking would be especially welcome. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire the next generation of computing professionals while contributing to the continued growth and innovation of our programmes. As a Senior Lecturer, you will deliver high-quality teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate levels, bringing both subject expertise and enthusiasm to the classroom. You will help ensure our curriculum remains current, relevant, and aligned with the evolving needs of industry, employers, and future technology leaders. You will also play an important role in the wider academic life of the School of Computer and Engineering Sciences , contributing to curriculum development, student support, and the continued strengthening of our computer science and cybersecurity portfolio. There will be opportunities to engage in interdisciplinary collaboration, external engagement, outreach, and activities that raise the School's profile and impact. The successful candidate will hold a relevant higher degree, have experience in teaching in higher education, and demonstrate a strong commitment to creating innovative and engaging learning experiences. For those who do not yet hold one, we will support you in working towards a Postgraduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education or Fellowship of Advance HE (FHEA) .
