Summary: The role of Senior JavaScript Engineer focuses on developing AI-powered products, particularly chatbots, within an agile team. This is a hybrid role with a mix of remote work and in-office collaboration in Central London.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the planning and development of systems/platforms as part of an agile team.
- Collaborate with engineers, product owners, and business analysts to define solutions and share knowledge.
- Review code and provide support to team members.
- Design and build Node.js / Typescript APIs for client-facing applications.
- Work on integrating with 3rd party AI APIs.
- Participate in the development of an AI chatbot.
Key Skills:
- Senior level experience in modern JavaScript, ECMAScript, and Typescript.
- Proficiency in Node.js and experience designing/developing APIs/microservices.
- Understanding of DevOps practices (AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, CI).
- Experience with AWS managed services (SNS, SQS, Lambda).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation.
- Experience in front-end and back-end development (React.js/Node.js/GraphQL).
- Experience working in autonomous agile environments.

Leading Ecommerce client is now recruiting a talented ‘Full Stack JavaScript Developer’ who ideally has experience building an AI powered products i.e. a chatbot This role will be joining their AI platform team, designing, and building the foundations of which our clients innovative web and mobile applications run on. What will a day in the role entail? Working as an integral part of an agile team contributing towards the planning and development of systems/platforms. Reviewing code and providing support to members of your team. Working on client-facing applications Designing and building Node.js / Typescript APIs. The ideal Senior JavaScript Engineer Senior level experience in modern JavaScript, written with ECMAScript, Typescript, Node.js, Experience designing and developing APIs/microservices. Understanding of DevOps/modern infrastructure practices (AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, CI, etc). AWS managed services like SNS, SQS, lambda, with an emphasis on integration work Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation. Experience integrating with 3rd party AI API's (OpenAI, Claude etc.) Experience building an AI chatbot would be advantageous Experience working in autonomous agile environments. Experienced in front and back-end development (React.js/Node.js/GraphQL) This excellent opportunity allows you to become part of an innovative award-winning ecommerce organisation who are leading in the travel sector. The role consists of hybrid work with 1 day per week in our clients Central London office and the rest working remotely. This is a 6 months contract with a daily rate of £575 p/d Outside of IR35.
