Summary: Talent Consulting is seeking multiple Java Developers with SC Clearance to join a high-profile government organization for a 6-month project starting in October. The role involves transforming business requirements into production-ready code and collaborating with teams to design and maintain large-scale services. Candidates should possess strong software engineering skills and experience with Java and related technologies. The position is hybrid, based in either Manchester or Newcastle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transform business requirements into production-ready code
- Ensure system robustness, resilience, and stability
- Develop and maintain a fit-for-purpose automated test suite
- Produce comprehensive technical documentation for wider consumption
- Contribute to the design of larger systems as part of a team
- Collaborate across teams, working with Lead Engineers and Technical Architects to explore technical solutions
- Review specifications with colleagues and apply agreed standards and tools to design, code, test, correct and document programmes of medium to high complexity
Key Skills:
- Strong knowledge of software engineering best practices
- Hands-on experience with functional and non-functional testing
- Skilled in developing and maintaining automated test suites
- Experience with Java (11/17/21) and the Spring Boot framework
- Knowledge of microservice architecture and API design principles
- Understanding of TDD and BDD principles
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI desirable)
- Familiarity with Docker and containerisation (Kubernetes/EKS desirable)
- Ability to work in Agile delivery environments
- Knowledge of Kafka
- SC Security Clearance - Active
Salary (Rate): £550 daily

We are looking for Java developers who can:
