Our client are a global consulting firm, working on a project in the Investment Banking space, they are on the lookout for a Java Engineer to come in on a contract basis.
Key Skills/Requirements:
- 15+ years' Java development, with hands-on Java 21, Spring Boot and Flowable experience.
- Strong background in distributed systems, microservices and event-driven architecture, including CQRS and Event Sourcing.
- Hands-on Real Time data streaming experience with Apache Flink and Kafka, ideally in high-throughput/low-latency environments.
- Strong cloud-native engineering experience across Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform and Azure, including CI/CD and automated testing.
- Experience with CosmosDB/PostgreSQL/Redis, Azure AD/OAuth and AI-assisted development (GitHub Copilot/LLMs), with strong stakeholder and architecture skills.
Contract is running for 12 months initially, paying up to £600p/day (Inside IR35 via Umbrella) and will be 3 days per week onsite in London.
