Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior IT Project Manager/Programme Management Lead to manage multiple technology projects, application changes and service improvement initiatives within an Oracle HFM (Hyperion Financial Management) environment.
The role requires a hands-on delivery professional who can establish project plans, coordinate business and technical teams, manage risks and dependencies, track delivery progress and provide clear reporting to senior stakeholders.
Strong practical experience with Azure DevOps or comparable enterprise delivery tools is important, alongside project governance, integrated planning and production release/cutover coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage multiple concurrent technology projects, application enhancements and change initiatives.
- Establish project scope, objectives, deliverables, milestones, ownership and delivery plans.
- Use Azure DevOps to manage projects, tasks, milestones, dependencies and delivery progress.
- Maintain integrated plans across projects, workstreams, testing, releases and cutover activities.
- Track progress, identify slippage, resolve blockers and drive corrective actions.
- Manage RAID logs, dependencies, actions, decisions and project governance.
- Coordinate Finance, Technology, Infrastructure, Service Delivery, support teams and third-party suppliers.
- Produce accurate project and portfolio status reports, including RAG status, risks, milestones, delays and escalations.
- Support resource and capacity planning across project and BAU activities.
- Coordinate production implementations, release readiness, cutover plans, go/no-go checkpoints and post-release hypercare.
- Challenge delivery owners constructively and escalate risks requiring management intervention.
- Ensure appropriate approvals, handovers, lessons learned and project closure.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Strong IT project/programme management experience in complex enterprise technology environments.
- Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects or workstreams.
- Practical Azure DevOps experience, or experience with closely comparable enterprise delivery-management tools.
- Strong project planning, governance, RAID and dependency management skills.
- Experience preparing project and portfolio reports for senior stakeholders.
- Proven ability to identify delivery risks, manage slippage and drive corrective actions.
- Experience coordinating production releases, implementations and cutovers.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across business, technology and third-party teams.
- Relevant Finance systems, Oracle HFM or EPM experience, where available.
Desirable Experience
- Oracle HFM/Hyperion Financial Management or Enterprise Performance Management (EPM).
- Finance systems delivery or Finance Transformation projects.
- Technology changes aligned with critical Finance reporting cycles.
- Experience working with application management services (AMS), offshore/nearshore teams and third-party suppliers.
- Service improvement and continuous-improvement initiatives.
Working Requirements
Flexible to support planned production release/cutover weekends, typically once per month.
