Summary: The Senior IT Project Manager role involves leading and managing the delivery of large and complex IT projects with significant business impact. What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading and managing the delivery of large and complex projects with high business impact
- Providing strong and effective leadership to the delivery team and suppliers; can take appropriate action to address issues
- Working with multiple suppliers to define and manage project plans which will achieve the project goals and consequent business outcomes
- Identifying and effectively managing business drivers and project objectives to be delivered by the overall scope of work; this may involve supporting the development of the business case with key stakeholders
- Providing timely and concise project communications to stakeholders through formal and informal communication and reporting channels and including project boards
- Ensuring project delivery adheres to LCM (Life Cycle Management) governance and assurance criteria
Essential Your skills and experiences:
- Proven experience of leading significant IT projects and programmes, incorporating successful business change delivery, to meet strategic business objectives
- Ability to communicate, influence and gain agreement for ideas and proposals from a variety of stakeholders, including senior management and directors
- Formal Project Management training, preferably PRINCE2 Practitioner or APM (PMDY) or equivalent work experience

The Product And Integrations (P&I) Team
In P&I, we are responsible for managing projects ranging from product applications including HR/IT, Business and Finance, IT Infrastructure delivery to property renovations, supporting customer key contracts and workplace services. This will include business change delivery to support transition and transformation priorities aligned to business strategy and roadmaps. The incumbent will be expected to shape, mobilise, plan and lead projects whilst adhering to internal BAE Systems delivery assurance processes and will be required to collaborate across EITS to address lessons learned, share good practice and continuously improve delivery management.
