Summary: The role of Senior Integration Engineer at Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity involves designing and managing data integrations between Salesforce and various internal and external platforms. The position is focused on improving data flows and ensuring secure connectivity to support the charity's mission for seriously ill children. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract with a hybrid working policy. The ideal candidate will have experience with middleware platforms and a strong understanding of API standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, development and management of integrations using Boomi, connecting Salesforce with internal platforms such as our finance system and Data Warehouse, as well as external platforms like JustGiving.
  • Support the implementation and growth of Boomi API Management, ensuring integrations are scalable, secure and well-governed.
  • Collaborate with the Data Management team to ensure data flows are clearly mapped and aligned.
  • Monitor the performance and resilience of integration workflows – proactively identifying and resolving issues before they impact operations.
  • Work closely with Salesforce developers and technology engineers to ensure system-to-system integrations support platform and business goals.
  • Contribute to the Charity’s integration framework and roadmap, while documenting and sharing knowledge to build team-wide resilience.

Key Skills:

  • Experience designing and managing system integrations using Middleware platforms (e.g. Boomi, MuleSoft)
  • Good understanding of API Standards (Rest, SOAP, Bulk) and common data formats (XML, JSON)
  • Experience delivering data integrations for Salesforce or other CRM platforms.
  • Knowledge of key integration concepts such as security, error handling, and data transformation.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical topics clearly.

Description

Are you a talented integration engineer ready to help shape the future of data integrations at GOSH Charity? Do you want to use your skills to build and support data integrations that link Salesforce with internal and external platforms – improving data flows, enabling secure connectivity, and supporting real-world impact for seriously ill children? We are looking for an Integration Engineer to join our growing Salesforce and Data Integration team at Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity (GOSH Charity) on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

Salary

The salary for this position is £65,000 and we operate a hybrid working policy of a minimum of 2 days per week in the office. In line with our EDI strategy and Total Reward policy, we calculate our salaries based on benchmarking data across the charity sector. To ensure fairness for existing staff and new joiners, we do not offer salaries above the advertised rate.
