Summary: The Senior Instrumentation & Automation Engineer will join the UK engineering team to support the debottlenecking of an onshore brownfield gas facility. This role involves providing technical support, developing specifications, and preparing key deliverables within a fast-paced delivery schedule. The position requires extensive experience in FEED projects and strong technical knowledge in instrumentation and automation systems. The role is hybrid, allowing for up to 60% remote work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to lead engineers and deliver project documentation.
  • Develop instrumentation & automation philosophies, specifications, and datasheets.
  • Produce ICSS architecture, cable routings, instrument layouts, and CCR/IER layouts (with designer input).
  • Prepare key deliverables including instrument lists, I/O lists, cable schedules, and material take-offs.
  • Participate in HAZOP, SIL, and other technical reviews (e.g., plot plan, 3D model, F&G mapping).
  • Contribute to discipline and inter-discipline documents, such as Cause & Effect charts and P&ID mechanisation.
  • Support occasional site surveys or short trips abroad if required.

Key Skills:

  • Extensive experience working on FEED projects.
  • Degree in Instrumentation or Electronic Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Strong technical knowledge across instrumentation, controls, and automation systems.
  • Familiarity with client-specific standards and tools is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary environment under tight schedules.
