Senior Infrastructure Engineer £550–£630 per day | Outside IR35 | 6–9 month contract | 2–3 days a week in the office

We’re looking for a seasoned Senior Infrastructure Engineer to support a business-critical environment, with a particular focus on secure file transfers, data orchestration and third-line infrastructure support.

You’ll take ownership of day-to-day operations across a broad range of platforms, ensuring critical file transfers run reliably between internal teams and external third parties.

This is a predominantly BAU role, suited to a mature, security-minded engineer who can troubleshoot complex issues and support a busy infrastructure team.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide 3rd and 4th line support across a varied infrastructure estate.
• Manage and support secure file transfer platforms, including MOVEit and similar technologies.
• Configure and maintain automated file transfer jobs between internal systems and third parties.
• Troubleshoot failed file transfers and resolve issues that could impact business operations.
• Support data orchestration, SFTP and associated data management processes.
• Work across server, storage and wider infrastructure technologies.
• Support DNS, DHCP, PKI and Azure Virtual Desktop environments.
• Assist with print solutions, including PaperCut, and other infrastructure platforms.
• Manage BAU tickets, support colleagues and maintain service reliability across multiple platforms.
• Follow security best practices when managing sensitive data and business-critical systems.

Essential Experience

• Strong background as a Senior Infrastructure Engineer or equivalent.
• FS Experience highly preferred
• Hands-on experience with file transfer technologies, particularly SFTP and platforms such as MOVEit.
• Experience configuring, monitoring and troubleshooting automated file transfer jobs.
• Strong 3rd/4th line support and complex incident resolution experience.
• Broad infrastructure knowledge across servers, storage, DNS, DHCP and PKI.
• A security-conscious approach, ideally within financial services or another regulated environment.
• Comfortable supporting multiple platforms and working in a predominantly BAU environment.
