Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 2nd and 3rd line support for hardware, software, and networking issues.
- Lead root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes for IT problems.
- Administer servers, virtual environments, and core infrastructure.
- Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP.
- Support Microsoft 365 and ideally Azure environments.
- Coordinate day-to-day helpdesk activities with the wider team.
- Ensure systems remain secure, stable, and high-performing.
Key Skills:
- Experience in IT support, particularly 2nd and 3rd line.
- Familiarity with Intune, Exchange, and SCCM.
- Broad exposure to Microsoft 365 support.
- Knowledge of server administration and virtual environments.
- Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP.
- Security and compliance experience is beneficial.

Senior IT Support Engineer - Contract
Synchro is hiring on behalf of a large and well-established organisation, who require a senior and experienced Engineer on an initial 6 month contract, which has the potential to become permanent. You’ll be the go-to technical expert for complex IT issues, supporting and enhancing infrastructure while ensuring systems remain secure, stable, and high-performing. Providing a blend of 2nd & 3rd line support across hardware, software, and networking, you will lead root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes as well as working with the wider team to coordinate day-to-day helpdesk activities. This role will involve the administration of servers, virtual environments, and core infrastructure as well as the management of Active Directory, Group Policy and DNS, DHCP. You’ll be familiar with Intune, Exchange, SCCM, and you will have a broad range of exposure involving the support of Microsoft 365 and ideally Azure, although this is more of a ‘nice to have’. Lastly, any security and compliance experience is also beneficial. The client is based in Halesowen, West Midlands, with hybrid remote working on offer here.
