Summary: The Senior Information Technology Project Manager will oversee the integration of entities into Group IT standards, managing multiple complex projects with budgets up to £3m. This role requires ensuring timely delivery of IT services and solutions while maintaining compliance and effective stakeholder communication. The position also involves managing vendor relationships and resources to support the Post Merger Integration Program and network enhancements. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in managing large IT projects within a dynamic environment, particularly in the Finance or Insurance sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Run and manage multiple complex projects with budgets up to £3m, ensuring delivery using formal project management techniques.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, meeting business and technical requirements within the agreed budget.
- Produce a Charter for each project, defining scope, budget, resources, schedule, and approach.
- Drive project delivery with consistency and compliance, ensuring smooth transition into production.
- Manage vendor relationships and resource utilization, minimizing external resource use.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders, acting as the key point of contact.
- Identify issues/risks, analyze options, and manage impacts to mitigate project delays.
- Monitor and report progress against milestones and budgets, ensuring transparent communication with management.
- Track and manage all project costs, including SOWs, contracts, and internal resource assignments.
- Coordinate completion of all documentation and compliance gate requests in a timely manner.
- Perform any additional duties as required in accordance with the role.
Key Skills:
- 7+ years of experience managing large IT projects in a complex environment, preferably in Finance/Insurance.
- Experience in global rollouts impacting companywide users.
- Working knowledge of Project/Programme Management methodologies (MSP, Prince2, Agile).

Project description: Client is running an integrations program, which is integrating entities into Group IT standards. There are a large number of entities in the integrations road map, which stretches into 2030. Business priorities require that a number of entities are provided with some Group IT services, before their onboarding date. For example access to certain applications hosted within the Group environment. Secure and compliant solutions are required to deliver the appropriate services and the Post Merger Integration Program has been established to meet this demand. Additional project managers are required to staff the program. The IT team that runs the Post Merger Integration Program also supports the Group network and ERGO International office moves, by leading and delivering projects that enhance the global network and support entities moves to new locations. This team is at capacity satisfying this demand and additional PM capacity is also required to support the network domain.
Key Responsibilities:

- Ensure the projects are delivered on time, meet the business & technical requirements and delivered within the agreed budget. Projects will be internally resourced but may require third parties to be managed as part of the overall delivery
- Produce a Charter for each project based upon the agreed scope, define the budget, identify the resources, create the schedule, outline the approach and suggest the sequencing of work required to execute the project effectively
- Drive the delivery of their projects with predictable consistency, efficiency and success, ensuring overall compliance with IT-internal requirements and smooth transition of the resulting solution into production
- Managing vendor relationships and the effective utilization of resources on each project, minimizing use of external onshore and offshore resources, and ensuring the timely onboarding and offboarding of those resources when tasks are completed
- To establish and maintain effective working relationships with all stakeholders and act as the key point of contact for the project Identify issues/risks, analyse options and manage impacts to mitigate project delays and take appropriate action to keep the project on track, leveraging support from key stakeholders and/or management as required
- Manage, monitor and report progress against milestones and budgets, ensuring consistent and transparent communications are provided to Management and Executive Leadership
- Ensure all project costs (actuals) are actively tracked and managed, including SOWs/Purchase Orders, contracts, internal resource assignments, and ensure accurate forecasts and accruals are maintained in SAP and Clarity
- Coordinate the completion of all documentation, project plans, change requests, approvals, lifecycle steps and compliance gate requests in a timely manner to ensure the project continues to align with the agreed schedule
- Any additional duties and responsibilities that may reasonably be expected to be undertaken in accordance with the role.
Required skills and qualifications, working experience:
- At least 7+ of experience in successfully managing the delivering of multiple large IT projects within a technically complex and dynamic environment, ideally in a global Finance/Insurance or regulated industry

- Working knowledge of Project/Programme Management, e.g., Managing Successful Programmes (MSP), Prince2 and agile project management tools and methodologies
Technical Must have:
- Experience leading Infrastructure & Operations projects, with good oversight of Technologies across the Networks, Workplace and Data Centres disciplines.
- Able to demonstrate strong management skills including project management, financial management, change management and facilitation.
- Demonstrable experience in setting up and driving successful global projects
- Demonstrated strong personal organizational skills and ability to coordinate the efforts of others globally in the successful delivery of projects.
- Excellent communication skills, strong experience in managing the diverging interests of various stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Proven ability to create meaningful reports and summarise project health status for stakeholder presentations.
