Summary: The Senior Housing Management Services Officer will lead initiatives focused on preventing and intervening in issues related to anti-social behaviour (ASB) and domestic abuse, ensuring residents can sustain their tenancies. This role involves supporting vulnerable residents, developing partnerships with agencies, and managing complex cases to secure positive outcomes. The officer will also be responsible for timely enforcement actions while providing necessary support to residents. A strong emphasis is placed on professional qualifications and experience in managing sensitive cases effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support residents, particularly vulnerable individuals, to ensure safety in their homes.
- Develop partnerships with internal and external agencies to assess and manage risks.
- Employ various intervention and support measures to mitigate risks to residents and tenancies.
- Manage a complex caseload of domestic abuse and ASB cases to successful conclusions.
- Supervise staff and monitor casework quality and quantity.
- Conduct risk assessments for victims of domestic abuse using the Save Lives Framework.
- Take formal enforcement actions in response to tenancy breaches.
- Maintain knowledge of relevant legislation and good practices related to ASB and domestic abuse.
- Engage effectively with challenging groups and manage challenging behaviours.
- Work independently while ensuring timely and appropriate actions are taken.
Key Skills:
- GCSE Grade (or equivalent) in English Language and Mathematics.
- Level 4 and level 5 Housing Qualification or working towards these qualifications.
- Evidence of continuing professional development.
- IDVA Qualification.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, social media, and CRM.
- Ability to attend out-of-hours meetings and visits.
- Experience managing complex domestic abuse and ASB cases.
- Supervisory experience and monitoring casework.
- Knowledge of legal remedies related to ASB and experience in court actions.
- Ability to work independently and maintain professional relationships.
