A Senior Group Reporting Manager (Consolidations) is required to work for a listed Media business on a 12 month FTC (Manchester based, with London considered for the right candidate). This is an opportunity to work for an international group that is undergoing a corporate restructure; they are looking for someone to strengthen the consolidation and reporting team during a period of significant project activity.
The role reports into the Global Head of Group Financial Reporting and takes ownership for group consolidation, working closely with a small, developing team. The role will involve extensive project work including support on discontinued operations, disposal accounting, and technical papers arising from the group's ongoing restructure.
Responsibilities include:
- Ownership of group consolidation across 300+ entities on a multicurrency basis
- Managing and reviewing the month-end and year-end consolidation process, ensuring accuracy across complex group structures
- Supporting the wider reporting team through technical accounting queries and complex consolidation issues
- Coaching and developing less experienced members of the team, including hands-on support through a demanding 12-month period
- Working closely with the Group Financial Reporting and Technical Accounting teams during year-end and half-year processes
- Contributing to project-driven accounting papers as the group progresses through its restructure
- Supporting the automation and improvement of consolidation and reporting processes
Skill set required:
- ACA/ACCA/CA qualified (big 4 preferred)
- Group consolidation accounting experience essential
- Multi-entity, multi-currency consolidation experience essential
- Post qualified experience in industry
- Experience with a major consolidation system (e.g. FCCS or equivalent) preferred
- Listed company experience desirable but not essential
- Strong people management experience
