Summary: The Senior Group Accountant role focuses on leading IFRS reporting and consolidation during a UK GAAP to IFRS transformation project. The position requires extensive experience in insurance accounting and aims to ensure compliance and accuracy in external financial reporting. The successful candidate will collaborate with various teams and mentor junior staff while managing complex reporting requirements. This is an 18-month fixed-term contract with flexible working arrangements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review consolidated financial statements, notes, and disclosures for all reporting periods.
• Stay updated on IFRS changes, assessing their impact on the Group.
• Prepare technical accounting papers and develop IFRS policies.
• Collaborate with internal teams, particularly the actuarial department, to meet IFRS17 requirements.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to the month-end close process.

• Extensive knowledge of IFRS and insurance accounting principles.
• Proven ability to lead and inspire accounting teams.
• Strong skills in managing projects and optimising processes.
