Summary: The Mo Ibrahim Foundation is seeking a Senior Graphic Designer for a maternity cover contract, focusing on editorial design and information visualization. Key Responsibilities:
- Design and produce high-quality publications, reports and editorial materials.
- Develop strong, consistent layouts with excellent attention to typography and hierarchy.
- Recreate and adapt graphs and data visualisations for print and digital in line with the Foundation’s style.
- Prepare and finalise files for print, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Work closely with internal teams to deliver projects under tight deadlines, including last-minute changes.
- Apply and maintain the Foundation’s brand guidelines across all outputs.
Key Skills:
- Strong design skills with confidence in editorial design and typography.
- Proven experience in publication design and layout.
- Ability to interpret and visually present data, including recreating graphs.
- Solid understanding of the print production process.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe InDesign (essential), Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Experience working within established brand guidelines.
- Desirable: Experience working with research, policy, or non-profit organisations.
- Desirable: Interest in data, governance, or development topics.
