Summary: The Mo Ibrahim Foundation is seeking a Senior Graphic Designer for a maternity cover contract, focusing on editorial design and information visualization. The role requires translating complex research and data into engaging visual outputs while maintaining high production standards. The designer will collaborate with internal teams to produce publications and reports that adhere to the Foundation's brand guidelines. Key Responsibilities:
- Design and produce high-quality publications, reports and editorial materials.
- Develop strong, consistent layouts with excellent attention to typography and hierarchy.
- Recreate and adapt graphs and data visualisations for print and digital in line with the Foundation’s style.
- Prepare and finalise files for print, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Work closely with internal teams to deliver projects under tight deadlines, including last-minute changes.
- Apply and maintain the Foundation’s brand guidelines across all outputs.
Key Skills:
- Strong design skills with confidence in editorial design and typography.
- Proven experience in publication design and layout.
- Ability to interpret and visually present data, including recreating graphs.
- Solid understanding of the print production process.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe InDesign (essential), Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
