The Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Golang Engineer to join our Mobile Security Engineering team.
You will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining secure, scalable backend services that support critical mobile security capabilities.
Working within a modern cloud-native environment, you will collaborate with engineering, security, and platform teams to deliver enterprise-grade solutions at scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain secure, high-performance Golang applications and services.
- Build and support REST APIs and microservices that underpin mobile security solutions.
- Contribute to cloud-native architectures using containerisation technologies and Kubernetes.
- Drive engineering excellence through code reviews, testing, automation, and continuous delivery practices.
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment strategies.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimise application performance to meet demanding non-functional requirements.
- Work closely with stakeholders, architects, and security specialists to deliver robust and scalable solutions.
- Champion best practices across software development, observability, and operational excellence.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Extensive knowledge of writing secure, scalable, enterprise-grade Go applications.
- Experience with REST APIs, containerisation technologies, and microservices architecture.
- Experience with DevOps practices, including infrastructure automation, CI/CD, and deployment strategies.
- Proficiency with cloud platforms and container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team as well as independently.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
- In-depth knowledge of best coding practices, code management, Agile development methodologies, and continuous delivery.
- Experience optimising and fine-tuning backend applications to meet demanding non-functional requirements.
- Strong knowledge of observability tools such as Splunk and Dynatrace.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Experience with Java development.
- Experience with cryptography frameworks in Go and Java.
- Experience working with SQL databases.
- Experience and/or interest in application security and mobile application security.
