Summary: The role of Senior Full Stack Engineer involves joining a high-performing development team in Glasgow, focusing on designing and delivering secure and efficient software solutions using Java and Angular or ReactJS. This hands-on position requires contributions across the full software development lifecycle while emphasizing problem-solving and architectural thinking. The engineer will work on both front-end and back-end systems, ensuring high-quality code and design consistency. The position is on-site for five days a week and classified as inside IR35.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality Back End and Front End solutions
  • Working with Java Spring Boot, Spring Batch, and Angular/ReactJS
  • Creating clean, secure production-ready code and reusable libraries
  • Contributing to architectural decisions and ensuring design consistency
  • Performing complex data analysis and visualisation to drive application improvements
  • Supporting APIs (particularly Open API) and integrating diverse systems
  • Driving coding standards, best practices, and continuous improvement
  • Participating in internal engineering communities and fostering a positive team culture

Key Skills:

  • Strong experience in Java, including Multithreading and Concurrency
  • Solid Front End experience using Angular or ReactJS
  • Expertise with RDBMS (MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server) and writing optimized SQL queries
  • Hands-on experience with JUnit, CI/CD tools, and SDLC best practices
  • Familiarity with Unix/Windows, Scripting, and infrastructure basics
  • Strong understanding of ORM frameworks (Hibernate, JPA)
  • Working knowledge of public cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure
  • Great communication skills and a passion for solving complex problems

We're looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join a high-performing development team based on-site in Glasgow (5 days per week). You'll play a key role in designing and delivering secure, scalable and efficient software solutions across both Front End and Back End systems using Java (Spring Boot, Spring Batch) and Angular or ReactJS.

This is a hands-on role where you'll be expected to contribute across the full SDLC, while also bringing your problem-solving mindset and architectural thinking to the table.
