- Comfortable working with multiple stakeholders across tech and business
- Background working on large enterprise platforms (nice to have)
- Experience in regulated environments (insurance, finance, banking) (nice to have)
- Exposure to complex internal systems and legacy integration (nice to have)

UI Developer (React) – Contract (Outside IR35) £450/day 3-month initial Hybrid (2 days/week on-site, West Midlands) North Scout are recruiting a UI Developer for a large UK insurance organisation, working on a major internal digital platform used across multiple business units. This is a UI-led Front-End role focused on building robust, scalable user interfaces for complex, high-volume systems. It’s not a greenfield toy app – it’s proper enterprise engineering. You’ll be joining a small, senior product team and will have real ownership over front-end standards, component design, and UI quality across the platform.
The Role This is a hands-on UI Developer position, working in a close-knit delivery team, while collaborating with multiple engineering, data, and product teams across the organisation. You’ll be responsible for building reusable UI components, improving front-end architecture, and ensuring the platform remains maintainable as it scales. This suits someone who’s comfortable working in large systems with lots of moving parts.
