Senior Front-End Developer - React/Angular

Location: London - Hybrid (3 days onsite)

TechNET IT Recruitment has partnered with Freshfields, a leading global law firm, to recruit an experienced Senior Front-End Developer to support the development and enhancement of modern, enterprise-level applications.

We are looking for a highly skilled, hands-on developer with extensive experience in React or Angular, strong JavaScript expertise and the ability to deliver scalable, high-performing and user-friendly applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain sophisticated Front End applications using React or Angular.
• Build responsive, accessible and high-performance user interfaces.
• Collaborate with Back End developers, UX/UI designers and technical stakeholders to deliver seamless digital solutions.
• Integrate Front End applications with RESTful APIs and Back End services.
• Contribute to Front End architecture, technical design and development best practices.
• Write clean, reusable, maintainable and well-tested code.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and optimise application performance.
• Participate in code reviews and provide technical guidance to other developers.
• Support the continuous improvement and modernisation of enterprise applications.

Skills & Experience

• 8-10 years' experience in Front End software development.
• Strong commercial experience with React or Angular.
• Advanced JavaScript (ES6+) and ideally TypeScript.
• Excellent knowledge of HTML5, CSS3 and responsive web design.
• Experience integrating REST APIs and working with complex enterprise applications.
• Strong understanding of Front End architecture, component-based development and performance optimisation.
• Experience with Git, automated testing and modern development practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
• Strong communication skills and experience collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Desirable:

• Experience within legal technology, financial services or professional services.
• Exposure to cloud environments such as Azure or AWS.
• Experience modernising Legacy applications.
