Senior Firewall Engineer with Check Point and Python

Summary: The Senior Firewall Engineer at CodiLime will be responsible for the conversion and migration of firewall configurations into customer security platforms, analyzing network environments, and collaborating with development teams to enhance automation frameworks. This role requires extensive expertise in network security, hands-on experience with Check Point firewalls, and a proven track record in customer-facing roles. Key Responsibilities:

• Conversion and migration of firewall configuration into the Customer’s security platform
• Analysis of the Customer’s network environment and creating migration workflow per each use case
• Working with the Customer to deliver a working solution and ensuring a successful deployment to their production environment
• Collaborating with the Development team to improve the existing automation framework

Key Skills:

• Excellent expertise in networks, network security, and network platforms
• Hands-on experience with configuration and troubleshooting of Check Point firewalls
• Proven track record in customer-facing roles
• Hands-on scripting in Python
• Experience with production-grade deployments
• Knowledge of Linux
• 7+ years of experience in Networks related roles
• Fluency in English (B2 level minimum)
• Willingness to learn and face challenges requiring creativity and teamwork
• Readiness to work flexible hours for regular meetings with US-based customers
• Hands-on experience with other vendors: Cisco (ASA and Firepower), Palo Alto, Fortinet
• Detailed multi-vendor firewall knowledge and configuration migration experience
• Firewall vendor certification
• Experience in deployment and/or maintenance of SASE/SSE solutions (e.g. Palo Alto, ZScaler)
• Understanding of DevOps tools and practices
• Hands-on experience with Ansible, Docker, VMWare
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines
• Understanding of best practices in enterprise network security
