Summary: The Senior Financial Services PR and Media Relations Manager will lead the development of proactive external communications campaigns to enhance EY's reputation in the media and among key stakeholders. This role involves collaboration with senior partners and various teams to align communications strategies with business objectives. The manager will also coach team members and manage relationships with journalists to mitigate reputational risks. Reporting to the Head of Corporate Communications, this position is pivotal in shaping EY's external narrative in the UK and Ireland.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the Financial Services external communications strategy around key narratives that support the firm's BMC Strategy and defined areas of EY's UK business.
- Work collaboratively with BMC colleagues in UKI and FSO to develop compelling campaigns that reach a broad range of stakeholders.
- Work closely with the UK Head of Corporate Communications on corporate and reputational issues.
- Develop strong relationships with key senior EY stakeholders to provide senior counsel and advice on communications strategy.
- Work closely with the UKI Financial Services Leader to lead their external profiling strategy.
- Coach, manage and develop other members of the PR and media relations team.
- Build and maintain effective journalist relationships to support EY's BMC strategy and manage risks.
