We're partnering with a highly respected and complex business to recruit a Senior Group Reporting Manager on a 24-month fixed-term contract.
This is a high-profile leadership role within Group Finance, offering the opportunity to shape and enhance a best-in-class financial reporting function during a period of transformation and growth.
Due to the contract nature of the role, we are currently only considering candidates on a short notice or immediately available.
About the Role
As Senior Group Reporting Manager, you will take ownership of group financial reporting activities, leading the preparation of statutory accounts, annual reporting, audit delivery and technical accounting matters.
You will also play a key role in strengthening financial controls, driving process improvement and supporting broader finance transformation initiatives.
This position offers significant exposure to senior stakeholders, external auditors and cross-functional leadership teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation of group financial statements and annual reporting requirements.
- Manage statutory accounts preparation, audit and filing processes for subsidiaries and joint ventures.
- Provide oversight of financial controls, ensuring robust governance, compliance and continuous improvement.
- Review and prepare technical accounting papers and provide expert IFRS guidance.
- Oversee balance sheet reporting, reconciliations and financial controls.
- Drive improvements across reporting processes, systems and consolidation activities.
- Support finance transformation programmes, ensuring reporting and control requirements are embedded.
- Provide leadership, coaching and development to a team of qualified finance professionals.
- Partner with auditors, senior finance leaders and wider business stakeholders on complex financial reporting matters.
Qualifications
We're looking for a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CA or equivalent) with extensive post-qualification experience in group financial reporting.
Required Skills
- Significant experience within a listed company, large complex group, or a professional services environment supporting listed clients.
- Strong technical accounting and IFRS expertise. (IFRS 15/16)
- Experience leading statutory reporting, group consolidation and audit processes.
- A track record of managing and developing high-performing teams.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Experience in transformation previously, particularly improving controls, processes and reporting frameworks.
- Strong systems and analytical capabilities, including advanced Excel skills; experience with Power BI, BlackLine or similar tools would be advantageous.
- Property, real estate or investment reporting experience is beneficial but not essential.
