Summary: Cedar is seeking an Interim Senior Financial Accountant for a leading PE-backed Infrastructure business, offering a 6-month contract with a hybrid working model. The role requires regular attendance at the London office and involves a range of financial accounting and reporting responsibilities. The position offers a competitive daily rate of £500 to £575. Candidates should be available to start at short notice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting across the business
- Prepare statutory accounts and support external reporting
- Review and reconcile key balance sheet accounts, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and appropriate supporting evidence
- Produce monthly management information and analysis to support budgeting, forecasting, and decision-making
- Manage core month-end activities including journals, accruals, prepayments, and other key adjustments
- Support VAT, tax, and other statutory reporting submissions, ensuring compliance with all deadlines
- Act as a key point of contact for external auditors, supporting audit processes and resolution of queries
Key Skills:
- ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified accountant
- Strong financial accounting experience within a complex environment
- Excellent technical accounting knowledge, including IFRS and UK GAAP
- Experience preparing statutory accounts, managing audits, and maintaining strong balance sheet controls
- Previous experience working in infrastructure or infrastructure-adjacent businesses
- Available to start at short notice or immediately available

The Role
This Interim Senior Financial Accountant role combines technical financial accounting, regulatory reporting, balance sheet management, and financial control responsibilities. Key responsibilities include:
- Own the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting across the business
- Prepare statutory accounts and support external reporting

Your Profile
