Summary: The Senior Financial Accountant role involves supporting a London Borough's financial accounting team during the critical year-end period and subsequent audit. Job Title - Senior Financial Accountant

We're currently working with a London Borough, looking to strengthen their financial accounting team on the run up to year end and through subsequent audit. You will join a hardworking and highly skilled team, looking for you to support on yearend activities and aid in the closure of accounts, whilst deputising the Chief Accountant. This is a demanding time of year for councils, so they're seeking an experienced and pragmatic individual, looking to apply their skills to this dedicated team.

Main responsibilities will initially be to support on the delivery of the statement of accounts, working closely with service mangers and business partners to ensure high quality financial reporting and to provide technical financial advice. Experience of supporting a local authority through year end is therefore vital, but additional experience from whole government accounts or auditing local government will also be favourable.
