Summary: A leading Global Media business is looking for a Senior Financial Accountant for a 12-month Fixed Term Contract in London. The role involves delivering statutory reporting and audit compliance across over 45 entities in the UK, collaborating closely with various financial teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in statutory accounts and external audit, with a focus on process improvements and technical accounting expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate, review, and deliver statutory reporting for UK entities, including reconciliations between US GAAP and UK GAAP.
- Lead complex areas of statutory accounts such as consolidations, impairment reviews, going concern assessments, and cashflow forecasts.
- Liaise with external auditors to drive annual audits (Group and Statutory).
- Support preparation of consolidated cashflow statements.
- Collaborate with SSC teams on statutory tax reporting matters (VAT submissions, PSA submissions).
- Prepare annual International Tax Data Collection (ITDC) reports.
- Work closely with agency financial management on narrative elements of financial statements.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices.
- Approve payments on behalf of the shared service team.
- Provide coaching, training, and development for team members.
- Ensure compliance with S-Box requirements.
- Participate in projects impacting financial reporting and controls, including automation initiatives.
Key Skills:
- Fully qualified (ACA/ACCA or equivalent) with proven experience in statutory accounts and external audit.
- Strong practical knowledge of UK GAAP/FRS102, consolidations, and analytical skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively at all levels.
- Highly organised with attention to detail and pride in delivering great work on time.
- Adaptability to changing work environments and allocations.

The Role
We are seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to join the team in London. This role will play a key part in delivering statutory reporting and audit compliance across 45+ entities within the UK. You will work closely with the Head of Reporting and Network Financial Controllers to ensure timely delivery of statutory accounts while driving process improvements and providing technical accounting expertise.
