Summary: The Senior Financial Accountant role is designed for a proactive and detail-oriented professional to support the Financial Controller in a growing SME in South Birmingham. The position involves key responsibilities in financial accounting and controls, particularly during month-end activities. Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Financial Controller in financial accounting and controls.
- Manage the month-end close process and review reporting requirements.
- Prepare monthly tax submissions and external audit documentation.
- Conduct cash forecasting activities.

- Fully qualified (ACA/ACCA).

A growing SME in South Birmingham, this business is currently going through a period of transformation. This role is based in South Birmingham and will require the post holder to be on-site for 4 days a week.
Your new role
We're looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Senior Financial Accountant to support our Financial Controller. This role will provide vital support across financial accounting and controls, including all month-end activities. Your outputs will include the month-end close process, review of all reporting requirements, monthly tax submissions, external audit preparation and cash forecasting.
What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate will be fully qualified (ACA/ACCA), with a track record of financial accounting in a fast-paced commercial environment. You will be a strong communicator with outstanding attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
