Summary: The Senior Finance Manager role is a 6-9 month fixed-term contract within a growing international professional services business. The position involves leading a finance team, ensuring compliance, and driving financial processes across the EMEA region. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the Finance Director and contribute to various financial reporting and improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of five finance staff, overseeing their day-to-day activities and providing mentorship and support.
- Drive the month-end process and prepare management accounts in line with group accounting policies.
- Ensure financial compliance by maintaining and improving internal controls, working alongside the Internal Audit function as needed.
- Produce and coordinate weekly forecasting reports, monthly management reporting packs, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Coordinate the preparation of the annual budgeting process and provide financial data for prospective client bids.
- Oversee tax compliance requirements and contribute to the annual audit process.
- Participate actively in finance system improvement projects and new client implementation discussions.
- Serve as a finance representative in monthly management meetings, providing updates and insights.
- Partner with all levels of management to drive continuous improvement and support business growth.
