Summary: The Senior Finance Manager – Group Reporting role is a 9-month fixed-term contract focused on delivering high-quality financial reporting for a large UK-based consumer business. Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading the delivery of high-quality group financial reporting, including monthly, interim and annual results for senior stakeholders.
  • Acting as a technical accounting lead across a range of complex areas, including impairments, pensions, share-based payments and segmental reporting.
  • Supporting strategic programmes, corporate transactions and new business initiatives, providing pragmatic technical advice to senior finance leaders.
  • Managing relationships with external auditors, preparing Audit Committee papers and contributing to Board-level reporting.
  • Overseeing statutory reporting for subsidiaries and driving continuous improvement in reporting processes, controls and automation.

Key Skills:

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / equivalent) with post-qualification experience operating at Senior Manager level.
  • Strong IFRS and technical accounting expertise, ideally gained in a listed and complex group environment.
  • Experience supporting corporate transactions, joint ventures or large strategic programmes.
  • Confident operating with senior stakeholders, able to translate complex accounting matters into clear, practical insights.
  • Hands-on, delivery-focused and comfortable working to tight reporting deadlines.

We are supporting a large, complex, UK-based consumer business with the hire of a Senior Finance Manager – Group Reporting on a 9-month fixed term contract. This is a high-profile group reporting role, sitting at the centre of the finance function and working closely with senior finance leadership. The role has significant exposure to Executive Committee, Audit Committee, Board and external stakeholders, and plays a key role in shaping how group financial performance is communicated externally. The position would suit a technically strong, commercially minded finance leader who is comfortable operating in a listed or similarly complex reporting environment.
