Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the annual budgeting process including Standard Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) for the operations site.
  • Own the monthly forecasting and month-end close reporting activities for the operational cost base.
  • Provide actionable commercial insights by analyzing production metrics and supply chain data to support decision making.
  • Drive a cost control mindset across operations to optimize operating costs and improve profitability.
  • Serve as a key member of the site leadership team supporting operational excellence initiatives.
  • Lead and develop a team of finance business partners focused on operational finance support.
  • Manage capital expenditure planning and control, overseeing an annual capex budget of circa £30 million.
  • Ensure robust internal controls are maintained within operational finance processes to safeguard assets and ensure compliance with corporate governance standards.
  • Review all activities for safety and manage hazards appropriately.
  • Operate in accordance with SBF policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties deemed necessary by SBF for the achievement of business outcomes.

  • Qualified accountant with strong commercial finance experience or equivalent experience.
